NEW ASSIUT BARRAGE

Project Overview
The new Assiut Barrage on the Nile will replace an existing dam dating back to the early 20th century.
The new dam will have four 8 MW turbines, with double locks to allow navigation on the Nile and is designed to maintain a head of 4 meters to ensure discharge of a minimum 445 m3/s flow into the Ibrahimia Canal to irrigate nearly 700,000 hectares of land between the dam and Cairo.

Our Mission
Setec Egypte was assigned to the Barrage Administrative Buildings.

Our Scope
Setec Egypte was responsible for the detailed design and concrete dimensions for the Administrative Buildings.
