THE RIYADH METRO
Project Overview
The Riyadh metro is a rapid transit system which is considered the largest public transportation project in the world. It is 176 km long with six lines; 87 air-conditioned stations and 7depots including underground, elevated and at-grade sections.
The design and build of lines 4,5 and 6 totaling 64.6km was awarded to the FAST consortium of FCC,Samsung C&T, Alstom, Strukton, Freyssinet, Typsa and Setec. This includes 25 stations (9 elevated and 16 underground), 7 Park ride facilities, and 29.8 km of viaduct, 8.2 km at-grade and 26.6km underground.
Our Mission
Setec Egypte was assigned to the depots of Lines 4 & 6 and the depot of Line5, where the total surface area for lines
4&6 depot is 148.000 m2, and 53.000 m2 for the depot of line 5Our Scope
Setec Egypte was responsible to carry out the structural design starting from modeling & analysis, passing through
detailed design calculations complete with the corresponding deign drawings for all the structural elements of the depots.
