MAHMOUDIA POWER PLANT

Project Overview
The consortium, composed by El-Sewedy Electric Simmens & Ansalado Energia, has been contracted by Egypt’s ministry of Electricity to build Mahmoudia power station, in Al-Behera Government, to help ease the country’s short-term energy crisis.
The consortium contract consists to design, supply, build and install the plant with capacity of 330 MW for 2 gas turbine units. The fast track project was due to be grid connected by August 2015.
The project is part of Egypt’s emergency plan for increasing electricity production before the summer 2015.

Our Mission
Setec Egypte was assigned to the power block area (GTG and stack foundations).

Our Scope
Setec Egypte was responsible for making the Structural works including fully detailed formwork and reinforcement shop drawings and making the As-built drawings for all the structural elements as well as the corresponding BOQ.
